I just can’t say enough bad things about this lady and the closed mindedness she represents. This lady horrifies my sense of fair play and being inclusive of people rather than exclusive. A prime example of how religion can have negative effects, this ladies obvious main concern in politics is its ability to spread her beliefs and enforce them on the populace as a whole. Thank God (LOL) for the American constitution protecting minority groups from the masses.
I would like to say once again though that I feel selling Atheism using similar methods as religious organisations is a mistake. I still don’t understand why people feel the need to advertise the truth, if people are open minded they will seek it out for themselves.
Even though I am an Atheist I consider it ill conceived to try and spread those beliefs to other people. I think that Atheism is the logical conclusion of any scientific, well educated person so why try and influence people who aren’t ready to accept it?
Atheist adverts on London buses
Richard Dawkins and people who follow his brand of aggressively fighting religion are not really achieving anything except maybe upsetting people’s deeply held beliefs. Why not just let them get on with it? After all they do a lot of good work for the community and the morals they hold due to their religions are hardly contemptible.
I personally hate it when people come to me and start preaching about God, so isn’t it hypocritical to then turn around and start preaching about there not being a God to anyone that will listen.
I can’t wait till someone comes round knocking on my door “Hi I’m an Atheist witness, have you got a few minutes to discuss how there is no God?” Of course I would not deny Dawkins or anyone their right to expression. I am sure Dawkins is motivated purely by altruistic motives and it has nothing to do with all the money he makes out of his books etc.
Maybe the reason why so many people have donated money to the cause of putting adverts on busses regarding their lack of belief in God is so they feel they have a voice. Religious people are always on the TV and in the newspaper expressing their opinions which can leave Atheists with no sense community or cohesion. It is satisfying sometimes to get a reminder that you’re not on your own in your beliefs.
Of course I can’t help, with my overdeveloped taste for the ironic, imagining Dawkins as being Satan’s helper running around corrupting soul’s and plotting the coming of the apocalypse. Does he go home at night and commune with his dark master? Obviously not, but you have to admit the image is fairly amusing.
Mix of the photos taken on holiday. I was a bit drunk in some of the pictures of me at the pub, not that i get drunk easily
i have no idea what me and my step brother paul were cheering about in one of the last pub pictures! (no one else in the pic seems to know either….*where not with him*)
As an avid Fallout fan, I am understandably excited about the release of Fallout 3. I have been biting my lip trying not to build it up in my mind however looking at some of the stuff available I have to say I am getting a good feeling about it!
The things that made Fallout and Fallout 2 such great games, in my eyes, where the attention to detail, all the little things you’re not expecting. The designers turned things in the game that might, at first glance, seem to be trivial but after a little exploration turn out to be interactive and useful like the learning by reading books system (at the time this was revolutionary and detailed, how far we have come).
Some of the propaganda that has made me feel they are not going to let me down are:

In-game footage – available on YouTube
Prepare for the future the website is interactive and has a great deal of little touch’s that make it feel quality and done with style this is before the content involving game play is even mentioned.
The violence in this game was never my favourite issue even though the combat I have seen so far seems to be of a good quality, the VATS system deserving a shiny star. The aspects that really made me quite excited were the improvements in areas I thought were needed like the traps system which is a bit 2D and not very interactive in the originals seems to have been revolutionised with the 3D environments.
The sneak system, also a bit flat in the originals, seems now to have been improved from what I have seen. Games like Oblivion (which some might consider to be Fallout 3’s precursor) have a sneak system implemented and Fallout 3 appears to take this to the next level.
At the time the sneak system and traps system in Fallout games was revolutionary, even though they do seem a bit weak by today’s comparisons. These systems that no other games had gave Fallout the cult status it originally achieved. We can only hope that some other new un-expected systems may have been devised by Bethesda however I feel just modernising the format might still score them a big hit with cult fans and new gamers alike.
